NEWS: Transervice Employees Help the Book Fairies Spread Magic in New York

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y. – June 12, 2019 – Transervice Logistics Inc. just concluded its month-long drive collecting and donating nearly 400 books, CDs, DVDs and magazines for The Book Fairies, a Long Island based non-profit organization that will distribute these materials to people in need throughout metropolitan New York. These donations foster literacy and academic success, provide a respite from personal struggles and nurture a love of reading across all age groups.

Filling 10 bankers boxes full of donations in the Transervice corporate conference room are (top/l. to. r.) Joseph Evangelist, Executive Vice President and Tammy Pitts, Accounting Associate; (bottom/l. to r.) Jay Scheer, Warranty Administrator and Wendy Swerdlow, HR Associate.

“Even in this digital age, there’s still something magical about holding a book and reading a story that lets you escape into another time and place simply by turning a page,” said Evangelist. “The annual Book Fairies drive has become one of our most beloved community outreach programs for Transervice employees.”
