Summary
Come join our team! Transervice Logistics, a nationwide transportation logistics and maintenance service provider, is expanding their national salesforce and is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Director, Sales position! This Position will be based in the Chicago, IL area. Travel will be required.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans. Manage leads, pipeline growth and execution of sales plan. Lead sales process.
- Meet or exceed Net Revenue growth goals.
- Implement strategies to expand revenue and account base.
- Participate in leadership meetings, interact and update management on sales performance.
- Stay informed of competitors’ activities through information networks and participation in professional organizations, developing and maintaining effective relationships within the industry.
- Analyze results of initiatives and channel promotions to refine strategy: provide feedback and recommendations on strategic level and tactical level changes that are impacted by these results.
- Promote and sell the value of Transervice services according to the company’s policy and direction, focusing on opportunities that are consistent with the company’s strategies.
- Understand customer’s application, overall objectives and requirements to propose the best solution for their needs.
- Collect information on customer’s unfulfilled needs and potential service improvements and report with recommendations to the Leadership Team.

- Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, as well as, ACT! is strongly desired.
- The individual we are looking for will be able to demonstrate success and have a proven industry track record. This person will be highly motivated, analytical, self-disciplined, possess great communication skills and reside in the Houston area.
Education and/or Experience: Qualified applicants will have a BS degree in business or related field. MBA is preferred and required if Bachelor’s degree is not in business or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
- Five (5) years experience in Dedicated Carriage, Truck Leasing or Fleet Maintenance.
- Direct Sales experience of transportation, logistics, and/or TMS at the C-Suite decision making level.
- Proven success in consistently driving revenue generating marketing programs with tangible results.
