Bimbo Bakeries USA, founded in 1998 in Fort Worth, Texas, with its headquarters located in Horsham, Pennsylvania. Bimbo Bakeries USA Parent Company is Grupo Bimbo. Bimbo Bakeries USA (BBU) has over 20,000 employees making various baked goods throughout the United States and is the largest bread maker in the world. Bimbo Bakery opened its first operation on December 2nd, 1945 with 34 employees in a small plant in Mexico City, Mexico.

The Bimbo brand name was started in 1943 in Mexico City. Today it has grown into one of the largest bakeries. In Mexico it is the largest food distributor and several generations have grown up with the Bimbo brand names. Since BBU entered the US market, it has continued to grow with major acquisitions of various bakeries including Mrs. Baird’s, which at the time of the acquisition was the largest family-owned bakery; George Weston Ltd., added brand names such as Oroweat, Entenmann’s, Thomas and Boboli. Sara Lee and Lender’s Bagels were both just recently added to the long list of brand names that fall under the Bimbo name.

TRANSERVICE began servicing the delivery truck fleet for BBU in 2013 out of our Maspeth, NY, location with 5 employees including a Foreman. Since the inception of our first location, we have continued to grow and now have a total of 6 locations and 2 satellite locations employing a total of 22.
